| Prof. Dr. Heike Bähre held one of the key notes at the grand opening of the conference on the occasion of the The general theme of the conference was "New Developments in Romanian Tourism in Times of Crises". Heike Bähre, Carmen Chasovschi and Ulrike Fergen provided the paper "Bucovina as a Tourist Destination and the impact of the recent international financial crisis". The mission of the conference was to support the sharing of knowledge among specialists from different research areas, in each of the five key areas of the conference, in recognition of the increasing awareness of scientific research in Europe.
