The convention was aimed at community representatives, tourism organisations and businesses. It encouraged a wide-reaching exchange of experience on the subject of "city partnerships and tourism". Successful ideas and examples were demonstrated. The convention also highlighted how cooperation between communities can be generated and used for touristic development.
Experts form the field of tourism, business development, culture, youth and schools were available for a discussion session and gave pointers on where school, youth and city partnership projects differ, and also on how they interlink. The top organisations from different communities presented the cooperational ideas that they would recommend for city tourism networks, so that city partnerships can boost tourism more actively than they have done up until now.
